PRESERVING BIOLOGICAL DIVERSITY AND INDIGENOUS WISDOM IN KEYSTONE ECOSYSTEMS GLOBALLY, AS WELL AS ENABLING CONDITIONS WHERE HUMANS AND THE ENVIRONMENT THRIVE WITHIN.

IMPLEMENTED THE CENTER FOR STRATEGIC DEVELOPMENT FOR THE OSA PENINSULA (CEDPO) IN COSTA RICA. THIS CENTER STRENGTHENS CAPACITY OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND LOCAL COMMUNITY LED PROJECTS AND GOVERNANCE OF THE OSA TERRITORY. WE ALSO GAVE THREE DIRECT PROJECT GRANTS - TO THE NGBE TRIBE FOR AN EXCHANGE PROGRAM WITH OTHER INDIGENOUS TERRITORIES IN COSTA RICA, TO THE RECYCLING CENTER TO IMPROVE WORKING CONDITIONS, SALARIES, OUTREACH, AND PROCESSING, AND TO RAISING CORAL FOR CORAL REEF RESTORATION AND CORAL GARDENER TRAINING.


DEVELOPED THE COMMUNITY CONSERVATION AND DEVELOPMENT FRAMEWORK FOR ENDURING EARTH TO BE USED IN THEIR PROJECT FINANCE FOR PERMANENCE (PFP) DEALS GLOBALLY TO SUPPORT LONG-TERM CONSERVATION INVESTMENTS THAT PROVIDE BOTH SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS. ENDURING EARTH IS A PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN WORLD WILDLIFE FUND, THE NATURE CONSERVANCY, ZOMA LAB, AND PEW CHARITABLE TRUSTS.


DEVELOPED THE SACRED CONTRACT LAND THAT OWNS ITSELF PROGRAM IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CENTER FOR ETHICAL LAND TRANSITION, TALKING WINGS, ONE LIGHT GLOBAL, AND THE CENTER FOR DEMOCRATIC AND ENVIRONMENTAL RIGHTS. THIS PROGRAM WILL LEGALLY RETURN TITLES OF LAND BACK TO THE LAND ITSELF RECOGNIZING ITS RIGHTS TO EXIST AND FLOURISH, AND WILL HELP ESTABLISH LOCAL HUMAN GUARDIANS TO REPRESENT AND PROTECT THE LAND. AMOUNT: $21,871.34
