THE COALITION FOR A BETTER CHINESE AMERICAN COMMUNITY (CBCAC) UNITES THE RESOURCES OF MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVDUAL MEMBERS TO EMPOWER CHINESE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES IN GREATER CHICAGO. AS A COALITION MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS AND INDIVIDUALS CBCAC CARRIES OUT ITS MISSION THROUGH CIVIC EUCATION, ISSUE ADVOCACY, COMMUNICATION WITH POLICY MAKERS, AND COMMUNITY MOBILIZATION.

NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH - THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TO PROVIDE A CONNECTION WITH THE COMMUNITY TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER AND BECOME STRONGER. THE ORGANIZATION HAS PHONE BANKED TO PROVIDE COVID-19 SUPPORT, EMBERGENCY RENTAL APPLICATION ASSISTANCE, AND OTHER SERVICES.


COMMUNITY PLANNING - THE ORGANIZATION WORKS TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE BY LEADING CHINATOWN'S URBAN PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT, BUILDING ON THE FRAMEWORK DEVELOPED IN THE AWARD-WINNING CHINATOWN COMMUNITY VISION PLAN.


CIVIC EDUCATION - THE ORGANIZATION AIMS TO AMPLIFY THE COMMUNITY'S VOICES THROUGH CIVIC ENGAGEMENT. THE ORGANIZATION HAVE REGISTERED THOUSANDS OF NEW VOTERS SINCE 2008 AND HELPED VOTERS NAVIGATE THROUGH LANGUAGE AND CULTURAL BARRIERSTO CAST THEIR BARRIERS.
