EDUCATION THROUGH "THE ISRAEL JOURNEY: ENCOUNTERS WITH ANCIENT AND MODERN ISRAEL" - FSI WILL ORGANIZE AND MANAGE EDUCATIONAL TRIPS TO ISRAEL FOR CATHOLIC LEADERS, CLERGY, AND PARISHIONERS ("ISRAEL JOURNEY TRIPS"). THE ISRAEL JOURNEY TRIPS WILL EDUCATE PARTICIPANTS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF ANCIENT AND MODERN ISRAEL, PROMOTE DEEPER SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING OF CATHOLICISM AND ITS ROOTS IN THE LAND OF ISRAEL, AND ENCOURAGE COLLABORATION BETWEEN CATHOLICS AND ISRAELIS.
FOUNDATION STONE COUNCIL: BUILDING LEADERSHIP - THE FOUNDATION STONE COUNCIL (THE "COUNCIL") WILL BE A SPECIAL ADVISORY BOARD WHICH WILL BECOME THE LAY LEADERSHIP ARM OF THE FOUNDATION, INTENDED TO HELP THE FOUNDATION ACHIEVE ITS GOALS. IT IS INTENDED THAT THE COUNCIL WILL MEET TWICE PER YEAR.
THE CATHOLIC-ISRAEL GLOBAL INSTITUTE, OR FSI GLOBAL: REPAIRING THE WORLD TOGETHER - THE ISRAEL JOURNEY TRIPS AND THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE COUNCIL WILL SET THE STAGE FOR ONE OF THE PRIMARY GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION: FOSTERING ONGOING COLLABORATIONS THAT BRING TOGETHER CATHOLIC HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATIONS AND ISRAELI NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS ENGAGED IN GLOBAL HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS. FSI WILL SERVE AS THE CONDUIT THROUGH WHICH RELEVANT CATHOLIC AND ISRAELI ORGANIZATIONS MEET EACH OTHER.
