TO BE A SAFETY NET FOR MINIATURE HORSES, DONKEYS AND MULES THAT ARE AT RISK OF BEING HOMELESS OR GOING TO AUCTION. TO EDUCATE POTENTIAL ADOPTERS AND MINI OWNERS OF THE CARE AND NEEDS OF THESE LITTLE EQUINES. TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF THE UNWANTED HORSE.

ETMHD TOOK IN A TOTAL OF 87 MINIATURES AND DONKEYS, 15 WERE CRUELTY CASES FROM THE STATE OF TENNESSEE AG CRIMES DIVISION. ALL EQUINES WERE REHABILITATED, TRAINED AND EITHER ADOPTED OR PLACED INTO OUR SANCTUARY PROGRAM FOR ONGOING HEALTH ISSUES. WE SPOKE TO SEVERAL SCHOOLS AND 4 H CLUBS, AS WELL AS AT OUR SPECIAL EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR WHERE WE TALKED ABOUT THE ONGOING NEED FOR EQUINE RESCUE, EDUCATING THE PUBLIC AND OWNERS ON THEIR CARE AND NEEDS. WE HELPED 3 FAMILIES KEEP THEIR ANIMALS BY PROVIDING HAY AND FEED THROUGH OUR HAY BANK PROGRAM.
