BLACK LIVES MATTER VT HELD VARIOUS EVENTS IN THE COMMUNITY AND AT IT'S BASE LOCATION. EVENTS SUCH AS SISTER'S KEEPER CONFERENCES, BLACK LIVES MATTER DAY, KWANZAA, JUNTEENTH BBQ, COMMUNITY BREAKFAST AND DINNERS, PUBLIC MEETINGS, WORKSHOPS AND TRAININGS WERE ALL INCLUDED IN THE YEAR. WE HAD MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS TO PROMOTE INTERSECTIONALITY AND COMMUNITY BUILDING THROUGH SELF EMPOWERMENT. WE HAD A WOMEN'S RETREAT AND CHILDREN'S BOOK DRIVE THAT PROVIDED SOLUTIONS TO LACK OF RESOURCES IN OUR COMMUNITY. WE COLLABORATED WITH A LOCAL COLLEGE AND NATIONAL WOMEN'S ORGANIZATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE BLACK WOMEN'S MARCH IN D.C. OUR COMMUNITY SPACE AFFORDS A SAFE PLACE TO BE FOR RECREATION, BUSINESS, OR REST.
