BENEDICTINE MINISTRIES BEGAN OPERATIONS IN 2016 TO FOSTER CHARITABLE WORKS IN ACCORD WITH THE OBJECTIVES AND TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND THE BENEDICTINE ORDER. OUR CHARITABLE WORKS PERFORMED FOR 2021 INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:FOOD PANTRY: WE OFFER A FOOD PANTRY TO OUR CLIENTS THAT DISTRIBUTES BASIC FOOD ITEMS TO THOSE IN-NEED. IN 2021, WE SERVED 15,949 INDIVIDUALS. A TOTAL OF 223,692 POUNDS OF FOOD WAS GIVEN OUT BY 1,766 VOLUNTEERS WHO WORKED 4,289 HOURS. THE FOOD PANTRY REMAINED OPEN THROUGHOUT COVID.PRISON RE-ENTRY: PROVIDE INFORMAL GROUP & MENTORING SERVICE DURING TRANSITION FROM PRISON TO SOCIETY. MAY INCLUDE PHONE CARD, CLOTHING, FOOD, PERSONAL NEEDS & TRANSPORTATION ON AN AS NEEDED BASIS. ADDITIONALLY, DURING 2021, MOTM STARTED OFFERING FREE THRU RECOVERY AND COMMUNITY CONNECT SERVICES WHICH ARE BOTH STATE OF NORTH DAKOTA PROGRAMS.EMERGENCY SHELTERING WAS DEVELOPED DUE TO THE COVID PANDEMIC. EMERGENCY SHELTERING PROVIDES EMERGENCY SHELTER (MOTEL ROOM) TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS WHEN NO OTHER SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE DUE TO COVID, FAMILY SITUATION, CRIMINAL RECORD, ETC.
