DURING THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2019, THE ROTARY CLUB OF FAIRVIEW PROVIDED FINANCIAL, VOLUNTEER OR OTHER SUPPORT TO THE FOLLOWING INDIVIDUALS, ORGANIZATIONS OR PROJECTS:1. THE LOVEJOY HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH AND DEBATE PROGRAM (INCLUDING SPEECH CONTEST AWARDS TO FOUR STUDENTS);2. THE WILLOW SPRINGS MIDDLE SCHOOL SPEECH AND DEBATE PROGRAM (INCLUDING SPEECH CONTEST AWARDS TO FOUR STUDENTS);3. THE ROTARY FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF ITS GENERAL PROGRAM AND POLIO EADICATION EFFORTS;4. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TWO LOVEJOY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, ONE LUCAS CHRISTIAN ACADEMY STUDENT AND ONE PLANO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT TO ATTEND A LEADERSHIP SKILLS DEVELOPMENT CAMP (CAMP RYLA);5. ORGANIZED, SPONSORED AND PARTICIPATED IN TWO FAIRVIEW ROAD CLEAN-UP PROJECTS;6. PREPARED 28 BIRTHDAY PARTY IN A BAG KITS, WHICH WERE DONATED TO A LOCAL FOOD BANK FOR DISTRIBUTION TO NEEDY FAMILIES; 7. THE LIFEPATH FOUNDATION IN SUPPORT OF THEIR MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID TRAINING PROJECT; AND8. AWARDED COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS TO TWO 2019 GRADUATING LOVEJOY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN RECOGNITION OF THE IMPACT THEY MADE IN THEIR LOCAL COMMUNITY AS WELL AS THEIR POTENTIAL TO CREATE MEANINGFUL LASTING CHANGE THROUGHOUT THEIR LIVES. IN ADDITION, THE CLUB PROVIDED A FORUM FOR ITS MEMBERS TO LEARN ABOUT AND SUPPORT OTHER CHARTIABLE ORGANIZATIONS OR COMMUNITY NEEDS IN THE GREATER FAIRVIEW, TEXAS COMMUNITY, NATIONALLY AND GLOBALLY.
