CVDF WORKS TO ADVANCE SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH AND PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTER VISION RESEARCH THROUGH THE DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMIC DATASETS AND CORRESPONDING RESEARCH COMPETITIONS. THE AVAILABILITY OF HIGH-QUALITY LABELED DATA IS ESSENTIAL FOR ENABLING AND EVALUATING STATE-OF-THE-ART ACADEMIC RESEARCH. THE RESEARCH COMPETITIONS SPONSORED BY THE FOUNDATION HELP THE COMPUTER VISION RESEARCH COMMUNITY GAIN INSIGHT INTO THE PROGRESS OF THE FIELD AND HELP IDENTIFY REMAINING CHALLENGES.
