TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO ALS PATIENTS, FAMILIES AND CAREGIVERS IN WEST MICHIGAN TO ENSURE ALL ALS PATIENTS AND FAMILIES HAVE THE MUCH NEEDED SUPPORT, GUIDANCE AND RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO THEM.

RESPITE - THE SUSAN MAST ALS FOUNDATION RECOGNIZES CAREGIVERS NEED ADDITIONAL SUPPORT TO PROVIDE CARE FOR THEIR LOVED ONE LIVING WITH ALS. THEREFORE, OUR FOUNDATION ASSISTS BY REIMBURSING ALS FAMILIES EACH MONTH WITH THEIR RESPITE CARE EXPENSES.

IF WE DO NOT HAVE THE EQUIPMENT NEEDED BY THE PATIENT, WE TRY AND PURCHASE THE EQUIPMENT VIA AMAZON AND IT IS DELIVERED TO THE PATIENT'S DOOR.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A MYTURN GRANT, AN ALS FAMILY FILLS OUT THE APPLICATION WITH A DESCRIPTION OF THE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT. THE APPLICATION IS SUBMITTED TO THE SUSAN MAST ALS FOUNDATION MYTURN REVIEW COMMITTEE. IF THE APPLICATION IS ACCEPTED, WE PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE PROJECT.
