DIAPER ASSISTANCE: FAMILIES ARE PROVIDED A MONTHLY SUPPLY OF DIAPERS FOR EACH DIAPER-WEARING CHILD, DELIVERED IN THE MAIL ONCE A MONTH. DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED OVER 100,000 DIAPERS FOR 370 FAMILIES. THE DIAPER PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY AT CAPACITY.
BABY ITEMS: PARENTS WHO ARE IN NEED OF SAFE SLEEPING (PACK N PLAY) AND TRAVEL (CAR SEAT) ESSENTIALS ARE PROVIDED WITH THEM. THEY ALSO RECEIVE BABY ITEMS AND ACCESSORIES SUCH AS GENTLY USED CLOTHING, BLANKETS, HATS, SOCKS, SHOES, CHAIRS, SWINGS, NURSING ESSENTIALS, BOTTLES, AND MORE. DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED $6,000 WORTH OF BABY CLOTHING AND GENTLY USES BABY ITEMS AND OVER $12,000 WORTH OF CAR SEATS AND PACK N PLAYS.
COACHING & RESOURCE NAVIGATION: CLIENTS MEET WITH A CARE COORDINATOR TO DISCUSS NEEDS, GOALS, AND SETBACKS. COACHING IS DONE WITH THE CLIENT TO SET ACTIONABLE STEPS TOWARDS GOALS, PROVIDE REFERRALS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES, AND EMPOWER CLIENTS WITH MINDSET SHIFTS. CARE COORDINATORS WORK TO GET A HOLISTIC VIEW OF CLIENT NEEDS AS INDIVIDUALS, PARENTS, AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS.PARENT EDUCATION: PARENT EDUCATION CLASSES ARE CONDUCTED IN FAMILY, WOMEN AND CHILDREN SHELTERS, AS WELL AS ONE ON ONE FOR INDIVIDUAL CLIENTS. COURSES AVAILABLE ARE INFANT 101 (NEWBORN-2 YEARS), TODDLER BASICS (2-4 YEARS), AND EARLY CHILDHOOD (5-7 YEARS).COMMUNITY BABY SHOWERS: BABY SHOWERS ARE HELD IN ACCESSIBLE COMMUNITY LOCATIONS WITHIN ALBANY, RENSSELAER, AND SCHENECTADY COUNTIES.
