OWS PROVIDES SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR SERVICE MEMBERS, VETERANS, FIRST RESPONDERS THEIR FAMILIES TO HELP HEAL THEIR HIDDEN WOUNDS TO REDUCE THE EPIDEMIC OF SUICIDE THROUGH MEDITATION, WELLNESS PROGRAMS COMPANION DOGS

OPERATION CANINE COMPANION CONTINUES TO RECEIVE AWARDS FOR THE WORK OF PROVIDING COMPANION/SERVICE DOGS TO THOSE VETERANS AND FIRST RESPONDERS WHO NEED SUPPORT.SEVEN CANINES WERE DONATED TO INDIVIDUALS INCLUDING TWO OF WHOM WERE SERIOUSLY WOUNDED SPECIAL FORCES MEMBERS. WARRIOR CHOICE FOUNDATION, SOUTHAMPTON ANIMAL SOCIETY AND THE DORIS DAY ANIMAL FOUNDATION CONTINUE TO BE SUPPORTERS.


OWS HELD 4 WELLNESS EVENTS WHICH WERE ATTENDED BY NYC DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS SERVICES, MAYORS OFFICE OF MENTAL HEALTH, NYPD, FDNY, VIETNAM VETERANS OF AMERICA, WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT, BROOKLYN BOROUGH HALL, AND INDIVIDUAL VETERANS. THESE SESSIONS HELPED OWS TOWARDS ITS MISSION TO HEAL THE HIDDEN WOUNDS BY GIVING CONFIDENCE TO THOSE DEALING WITH PTSD. OWS CONTINUED TO GAIN SUPPORT FOR THEIR MISSION OF HEALING THE HIDDEN WOUNDS BY RECEIVING NYC GRANTS. THE PARTNERSHIP WITH NYPDS HEALTH WELLNESS DEPT. AND THE DAVID LYNCH FOUNDATION RESULTED IN OVER 80 ADDITINAL OFFICERS TRAINED IN TM AND HAVING OWS AS THE KEY NOTE SPEAKER AT THE NYPD WELLNESS SUMMIT AT THE NYPD POLICE ACADEMY.


OTHER EXPENSES INCLUDE SUPPORT TO VETERANS AND OTHER ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE CONSISTENT WITH THE MISSION OF OWS.
