URBAN SCHOLAR ACADEMY SUPPORTED 85 KINDERGARTEN - 12TH GRADE STUDENTS WEEKLY THROUGH IT'S AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM HOMEWORK CLUB, TUTORING & FILM ACADEMY AND 45 STUDENTS DAILY DURING SEASONAL CAMPS. DAILY HOMEWORK SCHOLARS RECEIVED ASSISTANCE WITH HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS AND PROJECTS COMPLETED ASSIGNEMENTS AND PROJECTS TO IMPROVE CONTENT STANDARD MASTERY ENGAGED IN PHYSICAL FITNESS ACTIVITIES AND RECEIVED MEALS TO COMBAT HUNGER. WITHIN OUR TUTORING PROGRAM, SCHOLARS RECEIVED INDIVIDUALIZED TUTORIAL SUPPORT ONLINE & IN-PERSON FROM STAFF IN ALL CONTENT SUBJECT AREAS, IN WHICH OVER 1700 INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS WERE CONDUCTED. AT THE SATURDAY FILM ACADEMY, HIGH SCHOOLERS LEARNED ABOUT PRE-PRODUCTION, PRODUCTION, AND POST-PRODUCTION FROM INDUSTRY OFFICIALS AND UTILIZED THIS KNOWLEDGE TO MAKE THEIR OWN COMMERCIALS, DOCUMENTARIES, SHORT FILMS & PSA'S WITH A SOUTH LOS ANGELES BACKDROP. WITHIN SEASONAL CAMPS, STUDENTS COMPLETED STEM PROJECTS AND ARTS AND OTHERS PROJECTS AS WELL.
