TO PROVIDE WORK TRAINING AND OCCUPATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN THE FILEDS OF AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, LANDSCAPING, AND RELATED OCCUPATIONS THROUGH THE USE OF VOLUNTEER TRAINERS AND OTHER LOCAL AGENCY RESOURCES WITH THE GOAL OF TRAINEES FINDING PAID EMPLOYMENT IN RELATED OCCUPATIONS.

PROVISION OF JOB EXPLORATION AND OCCUPATIONAL EXPERIENCES FOR APPROXIMATELY 50 CLIENT/TRAINEES WHO PARTICIPATED IN 2020 ACTIVITIES: GROWING PLANTS AND PRODUCE, CREATING RELATED ARTS AND CRAFTS FOR SALE, AND PERFORMING RELATED OCCUPATIONAL DUTIES. TRAINING IS PROVIDED IN AGRICULTURE, HORTICULTURE, LANDSCAPING, AND RELATED FIELDS. TRAINING IS PROVIDED TO THE CLIENTS BY VOLUNTEERS FROM THE COMMUNITY AND JOB SUPPORT AGENCIES WHO COLLABORATE ON-SITE. CLIENT TRAINEES ALSO PARTICIPATE IN TRAINING IN REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS, GREENHOUSES, GROWING PLOTS, AND EQUIPMENT USED FOR TRAINING AND PERFORM SELECTED DUTIES FOR MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND EXPANSION UNDER SUPERVISION OF VOLUNTEERS AND CONTRACTED STAFF. USE OF WEBSITE, SOCIAL MEDIA, FLYERS, BROCHURES, SIGNAGE, AND OTHER DISPLAYS WERE ENHANCED AND EXPANDED TO RECEUIT CLIENTS/TRAINEES, VOLUNTEERS, AND DONATIONS.
