THE CHILD CARE LICENSING PROGRAM MONITORED AN ESTIMATE 3700 CHILD CARE FACILITIES DURING THIS PERIOD. THE FACILITIES ARE IN 3 COUNTIES:ARAPAHOE, EL PASO AND PUEBLO COUNTIES IN CO. THE VISITS INCLUDED ORIGINAL LICENSWS, SUPERVISORY VISITS, RESPONSES TO COMPLAINTS AND INVESTIGATIONS OF CHILD INJURIES. ADDITIONALLY, MONTHLY MEETINGS WITH CHILD CARE PROVIDERS WERE CONDUCTED EACH MONTH IN EACH MONTH IN EACH COUNTY FOR A TOTAL OF 33 MONTHLY MEETINGS.
HEALTH AND WELL-BEING DIVISION, PROVIDED EARLY CHILDHOOD MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AT THE PROGRAM, CHILD, AND FAMILY LEVELS. IT ALSO PROVIDED ONE-ON-ONE AND GROUP THERAPY FOR PROVIDERS.
THE LANGUAGE JUSTICE DIVISION COMMITTED TO ENHANCING THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATION, SERVICES, AND SUPPORTS PROVIDED TO DUAL LANGUAGE LEARNERS AND THEIR FAMILIES.THE DIVISION PROVIDED THE EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE NEEDED TO PROVIDE QUALITY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, LEADERSHIP, AND POLICY DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT TO ENSURE THOSE IN THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION FIELD ARE PREPARED TO HELP LINGUISTICALLY DIVERSE STUDENTS THRIVE AND SUCCEED ACADEMICALLY.
