PLUK WAS CREATED BY PARENTS OF CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES AND CHRONIC ILLNESSES FOR THE PURPOSE OF INFORMATION, SUPPORT, TRAINING, AND ASSISTANCE TO AID THEIR CHILDREN AT HOME, SCHOOL, AND AS ADULTS. PLUK PROVIDES ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY EDUCATIONAL, MEDICAL, AND REHABILITATION SERVICES, DISSEMINATION OF BEST PRACTICES IN THE FIELDS OF EDUCATION, MEDICINE, THE LAW, HUMAN SERVICES, REHABILITATION, AND TECHNOLOGY TO ENSURE THAT CAREGIVERS OF THOSE WITH DISABILITIES HAVE ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY SERVICES, HAVE THE ABILITY TO SHARE INFORMATION, AND PROVIDE EMOTIONAL SUPPORT TO ONE ANOTHER.DUE TO THE LOSS OF THE FEDERAL OFFICE OF SPECIAL EDUCATION PROGRAMS' PTI GRANT FOR FY 2020, PLUK WAS UNABLE TO CONTINUE SERVING THE FAMILIES OF MONTANA. PLUK CLOSED ITS OFFICES AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2019, AND THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AUTHORIZED TO DISSOLVE THE CORPORATION AS OF JUNE 30, 2020.
