CITY FRUIT STEWARDS AND HARVESTS FROM URBAN FRUIT TREES TO SUPPORT SUSTAINABLE AND EQUITABLE ACCESS TO FRUIT WITHIN THE SEATTLE COMMUNITY. OUR THREE MAIN PROGRAMS INCLUDE OUR HARVEST PROGRAM, COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION PROGRAM, AND TREE CARE SERVICES. COLLECTIVELY, OUR PROGRAMS BRING OUR COMMUNITY TOGETHER IN A SHARED EFFORT TO REDUCE FOOD INSECURITY BY PROTECTING THE HEALTH OF LOCAL FRUIT TREES, INCREASING THE ACCESSIBLITY OF LOCALLY HARVESTED FRUIT, AND CULTIVATING KNOWLEDGE AND CONNECTION TO PUBLIC ORCHARDS.

HARVEST: CITY FRUIT HARVESTS OVER 30,000 POUNDS OF FRUIT FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE RESIDENCES AND DISTRIBUTES THIS FRUIT TO OVER 30 SEATTLE COMMUNITY PARTNERS SUCH AS FOOD BANKS, MEAL PROGRAMS AND SCHOOLS IN ORDER TO ADDRESS FOOD INSECURITY AND SUPPORT EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HEALTHY, LOCAL FOODS.


COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND EDUCATION: CITY FRUIT HOSTS OVER 50 VOLUNTEER EVENTS TO STEWARD FRUIT TREES AND HARVEST FRUIT FROM PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ORCHARDS. 454 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED OVER 1,200 HOURS OF SERVICE AT OVER 12 ORCHARDS. 100 INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATED IN EDUCATION WORKSHOPS INCLUDING 20 GRADUATES OF OUR NINE MONTH MASTER FRUIT TREE STEWARDSHIP PROGRAM TO EXPAND THE COMMUNITY'S KNOWLEDGE TO CARE FOR THE TREES THAT PROVIDE HIGH QUALITY FRUIT.


TREE CARE SERVICE: CITY FRUIT PROVIDED TREE CARE SERVICES FOR OVER 260 CLIENTS BY PLANTING, PRUNING, NETTING AND/OR MULCHING OVER 800 TREES THROUGHOUT THE SEATTLE AREA.
