GRASSROOT GIVERS CONTINUED ITS MISSION OF MAKING A CONNECTION BETWEEN THE NEEDS IN OUR COMMUNITY AND THOSE WITH RESOURCES TO SHARE. OUR TWO MAIN PROGRAMS, A COMMUNITY STORE AND A BOOK PROJECT, DISTRIBUTE LIKE-NEW DONATIONS TO THOSE IN NEED IN OUR COMMUNITY. IN 2022, GRASSROOT GIVERS GAVE AWAY, FREE OF CHARGE, $405,840 WORTH OF DONATED CLOTHING AND HOUSEWARES AND $113,000 WORTH OF DONATED BOOKS TO PEOPLE IN NEED. THIS ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY BUSINESS MODEL KEEPS DONATIONS OUT OF THE LANDFILL BY RECYCLING AND RE-PURPOSING BEAUTIFUL IN-KIND DONATIONS.WE SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN POVERTY. THIS INCLUDES THOSE LEAVING A SHELTER AND SETTING UP AN APARTMENT, REFUGEE FAMILIES WHO DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO BASIC ESSENTIALS, AS WELL AS ADULTS AND CHILDREN IN ALBANY WHO DONT HAVE THE MEANS TO PURCHASE BOOKS FOR THEIR HOME LIBRARY. WE SUPPLY THESE ITEMS FREE OF CHARGE TO THOSE LIVING IN POVERTY.IN 2022, WE COULD CARRY OUT OUR MISSION BECAUSE:- $337,600 WORTH OF CLOTHING AND HOUSEWARES WERE D
