TO BRING HEALTH & HOPE TO COMMUNITIES BY OFFERING ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS FOOD, HEALTH AND WELLNESS SUPPORT SERVICES, AND EDUCATIONAL AND MINISTRY PROGRAMS.

FOOD OUTREACH- AS TRINITY RIVER FOOD BANK, COVENANT WITH CHRIST (CWC) IS NOW A PARTNER DISTRIBUTION ORGANIZATION (PDO) FOR THE HOUSTON FOOD BANK IN FOUR TEXAS COUNTIES - LIBERTY, SAN JACINTO, TRINITY, AND WALKER COUNTIES. DUE TO THE UNPRECEDENTED IMPACT BEING FELT ACROSS THE COUNTRY FROM REDUCED WAGES OR JOB LOSS AS A RESULT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, THE NEED FOR HUNGER RELIEF SERVICES IN THE FOOD BANK'S RURAL FOUR-COUNTY SERVICE AREA HAS GROWN SIGNIFICANTLY IN RECENT MONTHS. DURING 2022 THE FOOD BANK DISTRIBUTED OVER 7 MILLION POUNDS OF FOOD TO APPROXIMATELY 185,000 INDIVIDUALS. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.


MINISTRY- -CWC WORKS INSIDE TEXAS PRISONS AND CONDUCTS WORSHIP SERVICES FOR THE INMATES. IN 2022, 47 SERVICES WERE HELD, REACHING NEARLY 2,900 INMATES. -CWC IS A DISASTER RELIEF AGENCY WITH THE HOUSTON FOOD BANK AND COORDINATES WITH OTHER AGENCIES LIKE SALVATION ARMY, LOCAL CHURCHES, AND NON-PROFITS FOR DISASTER RELIEF PROJECTS. CWC PROVIDES MONTHLY SUPPORT FOR AN ORPHANAGE IN UGANDA, AFRICA. FUNDS RAISED PROVIDE MUCH-NEEDED SCHOOL SUPPLIES, FOOD, SHOES, CLOTHING, AND OTHER NECESSITIES FOR THE STUDENTS. IN AUGUST 2022, CWC WAS ABLE TO RESUME ITS ANNUAL VISITS TO THE ORPHANAGE; THESE HAD BEEN CANCELLED DURING THE COVID-19 OUTBREAK. SEE SCHEDULE O FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.


EDUCATION- -SCHOOL OF MINISTRY- CWC CONDUCTS A TWO-YEAR SCHOOL OF MINISTRY PROGRAM TO HELP OTHERS FULFILL THEIR CALL THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING. CWC BECAME FULLY ACCREDITED THROUGH THE AICCS ORGANIZATION IN 2022 AND EXPANDED THEIR PROGRAMS TO INCLUDE BACHELOR'S DEGREES. STUDENTS ARE EQUIPPED TO SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST EFFECTIVELY IN WHATEVER MINISTRY THEY ARE CALLED TO SERVE.
