TO PROMOTE PARTICIPATION IN THE CONSERVATION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE MEMPHREMAGOG WATERSHED, TO MONITOR AND PROTECT QUALITY AND WILDLIFE HABITAT, AND TO PRESERVE THE SCENIC, HISTORIC AND ECOLOGICAL INTEGRITY OF THE WATERSHED.

AQUATIC NUISANCE CONTROL GRANT (ANC) - REGIONAL PARTNER - COORDINATE AND OVERSEEE FOR THE STATE GRANT PROGRAM THAT IS DESIGNED TO CONTROL AND REDUCE THE SPREAD OF AQUATIC INVASIVE SPECIES. BENEFITS ALL LAKESHORE RESIDENTS AND USERS OF THE AREA WATERS - ESTIMATED TO BE 300,000 PEOPLE.


SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM: SCHOLARSHIPS FOR HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS CONTINUING ONTO COLLEGE WITH A SCIENCE OR ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE MAJOR. THREE GRANTS AWARDED FOR THE YEAR = 2,250 EDUCATIONAL EVENTS: ON-LINE LEACHATE SYMPOSIUM DIRECT BENEFIT TO OVER 100 IN ATTENDANCE, INDIRECT BENEFIT FROM POSTING RECORDING ON WEBSITE = UNKNOWN
