THE PURPOSE OF CASA DE ORO FOUNDATION IS TO PROVIDE AND ASSIST IN PROVIDING HOUSING TO AND FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME PERSONS AND FAMILIES, PARTICULARLY IN DISTRESSED AREAS AND NEIGHBORDHOODS AND IN REDEVELOPED ZONES RECOGNIZED BY STATE, LOCAL AND FEDERAL AGENCIES.

CASA DE ORO FOUNDATION HELPED THE VERNAL COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING HOUSING AND BRINGING SEVERAL FAMILIES OUT OF HOMELESSNESS AND DESPAIR. WORKING WITH UINTAH BASIN ASSOCIATIONS OF GOVERNMENTS, FREINDS AGAINST FAMILY VIOLENCE AND THE UTAH RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS, THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED HOUSING FOR UP TO 12 FAMILIES YEAR ROUND. ALL 12 UNITS HOUSED TENANTS THAT HAD FALLEN INTO DESPAIR BECAUSE OF CLOSURES AS A RESULT OF COVID 19. HAVING STABILIZED THEIR HOUSING NEEDS, MOST ARE WELL ON THE WAY TO FINDING NEW JOBS. HAVING ACHIEVED STABILITY, EFFICIENCY AND FULL CAPACITY, THE FOUNDATION WILL PLAN TO SELL THE PROPERTY TO NEW OWNERS THAT WILL CONTINUE THIS WORK.
CASA DE ORO FOUNDATION HAS CONTINUED TO PROVIDE LOW INCOME HOUSING AND HAS STRUGGLED THROUGH THIS COVID 19 PANDEMIC ALL DURING 2020 SUFFERING FROM COST OF REPAIRS AND HAS FALLEN BEHIND ON THEIR PROPERTY TAXES. THE FOUNDATION IS WORKING IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AGENCY TO PROVIDE HOUSING TO THE HOMELESS UNDER THE UT RENT RELIEF PROGRAM. I AM HAPPY TO SAY THAT WE ARE HELPING MANY OTHERWISE HOMELESS FAMILIES THAT WOULD OTHERWISE BE HOMELESS. DURING 2021 WE HAVE CONTINUED TO PROVIDE HOUSING AND SOLUTIONS TO FAMILIES IN GREAT NEED. THE UT RENT RELIEF PROGRAM IS HELPING US REDUCE THE RENT AND HOPEFULLY PAY THE PROPERTY TAXES IN 2021.
