THE AFFORDABLE RENTAL MOVEMENT (ARM) ESTABLISHES WORKING POOR FAMILIES IN AFFORDABLE AND PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING. ARM OWNS 154 UNITS OF SCATTERED-SITE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING HOUSING BELOW FAIR MARKET RENTAL TO FORMERLY HOMELESS AND LOW- INCOME HOUSEHOLDS TO HELP THEM STABILIZE AND MAINTAIN THEIR SELF- SUFFICIENCY. ARM PROVIDES A VITAL LINK IN THE CONTINUUM OF SERVICES TO ALLOW FORMERLY HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS TO MOVE FROM INSTABILITY TO MORE PERMANENT HOUSING. ARM TENANTS ARE ELIGIBLE TO ENGAGE IN WRAP-AROUND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THROUGH ARM OF SAVE THE FAMILY'S AFFILIATE SAVE THE FAMILY THROUGH THEIR FAMILIES, ADULTS AND CHILDREN'S EMPOWERMENT SERVICES (FACES). PERFORMANCE DATA INDICATES THAT 58% OF ARM TENANTS PARTICIPATED IN SUPPORTIVE SERVICES. ARM ALSO PROVIDES 99 UNITS OF PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR CHRONICALLY HOMELESS HOUSEHOLDS (THOSE WITH MULTIPLE EPISODES OF HOMELESSNESS WITH A DISABILITY). TENANTS ARE PROVIDED WITH HOUSING SEARCH ASSISTANCE, LANDLORD-TENANT EDUCATION AND SUPPORT. ARM ALSO PARTNERS WITH GORMAN AND COMPANY, INC. ON A 132 UNIT LOW-INCOME HOUSING TAX CREDIT PROJECT (LIHTC), ESCOBEDO. ADDITIONAL PARTNERS INCLUDE THE CITY OF MESA HOUSING AUTHORITY WHO PROVIDES 30 HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHERS AND MERCY MARICOPA INTEGRATED CARE WHO PROVIDES RENTAL ASSISTANCE FOR 28 HOUSEHOLDS THAT HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH SEVERE MENTAL ILLNESS. ON-SITE SUPPORTIVE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO ASSIST TENANTS IN MAINTAINING LONG-TERM HOUSING. ARM ALSO PARTNERS WITH GORMAN AND COMPANY, INC.
