DOBERMAN PINSCHER RESCUE EXISTS SOLELY TO RESCUE, REHABILITATE, CARE FOR AND PLACE INTO LOVING HOMES THE DOBERMAN PINSCHER AND OTHER CANINE BREEDS THAT HAVE BEEN ABANDONED, ABUSED, LOST, OR FOUND IN OTHER UNFORTUNATE CIRCUMSTANCES. DOGS THAT ARE NOT ADOPTABLE DUE TO ADVANCED AGE, CHALLENGING BEHAVIOR, MEDICAL, OR OTHER ISSUES ARE GIVEN A PERMANENT HOME IN THE ORGANIZATION'S SANCTUARY PROPERTY IN FILLMORE, CALIFORNIA.

THE ORGANIZATION RESCUES 250 TO 500 DOGS EACH YEAR. THE DOGS ARE ACQUIRED FROM SHELTERS, INCAPABLE OWNERS, NATURAL DISASTERS, OR DIRECTLY FROM ABUSIVE SITUATIONS. THEY ARE SOMETIMES PICKED UP FROM ALONGSIDE A HIGHWAY. THE DOGS ARE PROVIDED WITH IMMEDIATE VETERINARY CARE WHEN NEEDED AND ARE FED, HOUSED, AND CARED FOR BY THE ORGANIZATION UNTIL THEY CAN BE PLACED INTO LOVING HOMES. DOGS WHO CANNOT BE PLACED DUE TO ADVANCED AGE, BEHAVORIAL, MEDICAL, OR OTHER ISSUES ARE GIVEN A LIFETIME HOME IN THE ORGANIZATIONS SANCTUARY. THE ORGANIZATIONS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR VOLUNTEERS HER TIME, LEADERSHIP, AND FUNDRAISING TALENTS TO THE ORGANIZATION. MANY INDIVIDUALS ALSO VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND TALENT TO THE ORGANIZATIONS OPERATIONS AND TO THE CARE OF THE DOGS.
