DEDICATED TO TREATMENT AND CURE OF HEMOPHILIA RELATED BLEEDING DISORDERS, ASSOCIATED COMPLICATIONS AND THEIR TREATMENTS, AND IMPROVED QUALITY OF LIFE FOR ALL AFFECTED THROUGH RESEARCH, ADVOCACY, EDUCATION, AND OTHER SERVICES.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING: THE LONE STAR BLEEDING DISORDERS FOUNDATION (LONE STAR BDF) AIDED AND PROMOTED THE EDUCATION OF PERSONS WITH HEMOPHILIA, THEIR FAMILIES, THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AND THE MEDICAL/SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY REGARDING ALL ASPECTS OF HEMOPHILIA, RELATED COMPLICATIONS, AND TREATMENT. CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O.


COMMUNITY NEEDS: LONE STAR BDF PROMOTED ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY, SAFE THERAPEUTIC MATERIALS CRUCIAL IN THE TREATMENT OF HEMOPHILIA AND COMPLICATIONS OF BLEEDING DISORDERS, AND ENCOURAGED THE COMPREHENSIVE CARE INCLUDING MENTAL WELL- BEING OF PERSONS WITH A BLEEDING DISORDER. THROUGH THE HELPING HANDS PROGRAM, LONE STAR BDF ASSISTED OVER 50 FAMILIES IN CRISIS WHO WERE UNABLE TO PAY OR RECEIVE TREATMENT FOR THEIR MEDICAL CONDITION, OR HAD AN UNUSUAL STRAIN PLACED ON HOUSEHOLD FINANCES BECAUSE OF THEIR BLEEDING DISORER.
