TO INTRODUCE AND PROVIDE YOUTH IN SOUTH TEXAS BROAD OPPORTUNITIES TO EXPERIENCE THE GAME OF GOLF, DEVELOP THEIR TALENT AS PLAYERS AND THEMSELVES AS INDIVIDUALS AND PROMOTE SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS TO AS MANY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES AS POSSIBLE. THE STPGA FOUNDATION WILL UPHOLD THE HIGH DEGREE OF PROFESSIONALISM NECESSARY TO MOTIVATE YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN TO STRIVE FOR PERSONAL INTEGRITY, HONOR, AND IDEALS.

THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PGA FOUNDATION RUNS SEVERAL YOUTH GOLF PROGRAMS INCLUDING TOURNAMENTS AND CLINICS. THE PROGRAMS ARE INSTRUCTIONALLY BASED, TARGETING THE RULES OF GOLF AND ETIQUETTE, AS WELL AS GOLF FUNDAMENTALS.IN ADDITION, THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PGA FOUNDATION ANNUALLY AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS TO PROMOTE THE ATTAINMENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION GOALS FOR YOUTH THAT HAVE DEMONSTRATED A HIGH LEVEL OF ACHIEVEMENT IN HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE, AND HAVE DEMONSTRATED A FINANCIAL NEED. SINCE 1999, THE SOUTHERN TEXAS PGA FOUNDATION HAS AWARDED MORE THAN 370 SCHOLARSHIPS VALUED AT OVER $982,000.
