THE TEXAS GOLF ASSOCIATION IS ONE OF THE LARGEST AND MOST RESPECTED GOLF ASSOCIATIONS IN THE COUNTRY, WITH AN ONGOING COMMITMENT OF ENSURING THAT THE TOP RESOURCES AND MOST DEPENDABLE STAFF ARE IN PLACE TO MEET CURRENT AND FUTURE NEEDS OF ITS MEMBERS, CONTESTANTS, VOLUNTEERS AND ALL WHO STRIVE TO PRESERVE THE GREAT TRADITIONS OF THE GAME.

TGA COUNTED MORE THAN 570 MEMBER CLUBS AND 143,000 INDIVIDUAL MEMBER GOLFERS. GOLFERS BECOME MEMBERS BY VIRTUE OF ESTABLISHING A USGA HANDICAP AT A TGA MEMBER CLUB. IN ORDER TO FULFILL THE MEMBERSHIPS OF CLUBS, THE TGA PROVIDES GHIN SOFTWARE AND TECHNOLOGY, TOURNAMENT MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE, EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS AND PUBLICATIONS. TO SERVICE HANDICAPS AND MEMBERSHIPS FOR GOLFERS, THE TGA PROVIDES ACCESS TO GHIN GOLFER PRODUCTS, EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, AND UTILIZES SOFTWARE AND TECHNOLOGY TO MANAGE MEMBER DATABASES.
TGA CONDUCTS ORGANIZED GOLF EVENTS FOR COMPETITIVE AND RECREATIONAL GOLFERS IN EVERY REGION OF THE STATE. THESE EVENTS INCLUDE STATEWIDE AND REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS, QUALIFYING ROUNDS FOR TGA AND USGA CHAMPIONSHIPS, MANAGED EVENTS FOR COLLEGES AND THE WOMEN'S SOUTHERN GOLF ASSOCIATION, FUN GOLF PLAY DAYS AND BEGINNING GOLF OUTINGS. IN 2021, MORE THAN 10,000 APPLICATIONS WERE RECEIVED FOR MORE THAN 100 EVENTS COMPRISING MORE THAN 17,000 ROUNDS OF GOLF PLAYED BY ALMOST 4,000 UNIQUE GOLFERS. TGA STAFF WERE ON SITE AT HOST CLUBS FOR ALMOST 350 DAYS TO CONDUCT THESE EVENTS.
TGA PROVIDES MANAGEMENT AND SUPPORT SERVICES TO RELATED ENTITIES AS WELL AS CONTRACTUAL MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR OTHER RECREATIONAL ENTITIES. THE ASSOCIATION CONTRACTS WITH A THIRD PARTY STAFFING ORGANIZATION AS AN UMBRELLA ORGANIZATION FOR ITS RELATED ENTITIES.
