EDUCATIONAL COURSES: PROVIDING AND ASSISTING WITH EDUCATIONAL COURSES IS ONE OF OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVES. TEXAS STATE COUNCIL (TXENA) PROMOTES EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES DEVELOPED AND IMPLEMENTED AT THE STATE CHAPTER LEVELS FOR EMERGENCY NURSE MEMBERS AND NON-MEMBERS. IN 2022, CHAPTERS HELD OVER 23 EDUCATIONAL OFFERINGS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO HUMAN TRAFFICKING, CARE OF BURNS, DIVERSITY, RABIES POST EXPOSURE, PEDIATRIC BEHAVIORAL EMERGENCIES, GERIATRICS, NURSING JURISPRUDENCE & ETHICS AND FORENSICS. TXENA SPONSORED AN EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE "IN THE HEAT OF TEXAS" TO ADDRESS HEAT RELATED INJURIES. THE TOPICS CHOSEN ARE PRESENTED BY EXPERIENCED, SKILLED CONTENT EXPERTS AND ARE WELL ATTENDED.
DELEGATE ASSISTANCE - TEXAS STATE COUNCIL (TXENA) PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO ITS MEMBERS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LATEST UPDATES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE MISSION, VISION AND VALUE OF THE NATIONAL ORGANIZATION. TXENA ASSISTED OUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES IN ATTENDING THE ANNUAL NATIONAL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 11TH - SEPTEMBER 16TH.
BOARD TRAVEL - TEXAS STATE COUNCIL (TXENA) PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS IN ORDER TO COMPENSATE THEM FOR THE COST OF TRAVELING TO MEETINGS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE LATEST UPDATES AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE MISSION, VISION AND VALUE OF OUR STATE ORGANIZATION. THESE BOARD MEMBERS DO NOT RECEIVE MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR THEIR BOARD MEMBERSHIP AND WORK. HOWEVER, THEY ARE PROVIDED WITH REIMBURSEMENT FOR TRAVEL AND PER DIEM EXPENSES IN ORDER TO ATTEND STATE QUARTERLY MEETINGS.
