THE ALLIANCE FOR HIGHER EDUCATION IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION WHICH PROVIDES SUPPORT FOR VARIOUS TECHNOLOGY INCUBATORS, CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATIONS. THE AHE WORKS WITH UNIVERSITIES, CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE AND BUSINESS INCUBATORS/ACCELERATORS TO SUPPORT BUSINESS FORMATION, TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITH THE NORTH TEXAS REGION.

TO ACTIVELY GROW THE BASE OF RESEARCH CAPACITY AND TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION IN NORTH TEXAS BY ENGAGING INDUSTRY, PHILANTHROPIC, UNIVERSITY, AND STATE SUPPORT TO IMPLEMENT PROGRAMS THAT INCREASE RESEARCH AT OUR LOCAL INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND CREATE ECONOMIC BENE?T FOR THE REGION. TRA HAS SET FORTH FOUR GOALS TO AID IN ACHIEVING OUR MISSION: 1. FACILITATE COLLABORATION AMONG UNIVERSITIES AND WITH INDUSTRY 2. RECRUIT AND RETAIN TOP TIER RESEARCH AND GRADUATE TALENT 3. ASSIST IN THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF UNIVERSITY TECHNOLOGY THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS AND FUNDING 4. CREATE WORLD CLASS RESEARCH FACILITIES AND LABS.
