THE FRIENDS OF LAKE DARLING ASSIST THE IOWA DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE TO LAKE DARLING STATE PARK THAT INCLUDES FUNDING CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS, COLLECTING AND RECYCLING CANS AND BOTTLES, MAINTAINING THE BEACH AREA, AND OPERATING THE LAKE'S BOAT RENTAL AND CONCESSION AREA. HUNDREDS OF VOLUNTEER HOURS ARE PERFORMED BY A VOLUNTEER BASE IN ACCOMPLISHING THESE PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS.
