NEIGHBORHOOD PLACE OF KONA PROVIDES A VARIETY OF FAMILY AND CHILD-CENTERED SUPPORT SERVICES, INCLUDING INFORMATION AND REFERRAL, PROBLEM-SOLVING CONVERSATIONS, CREATION OF FAMILY DEVELOPMENT PLANS, ADVOCACY TO SUCCESSFULLY MOVE THROUGH THE CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES PROCESS, CULTURALLY-BASED PARENTING SKILLS STRENGTHENING PROGRAMS, LENDING LIBRARY OF PARENT RESOURCE MATERIALS, AND HOSTING ANNUAL COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH ACTIVITIES THAT FOSTER POSITIVE PARENT-CHILD INTERACTION. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ACTIVELY PARTICIPATES IN A NUMBER OF NETWORKS, COLLABORATIONS AND INTER-AGENCY COUNCILS TO REDUCE CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT AND INCREASE FAMILY RESILIENCY.
