NATE OFFERS CORE SERVICE AND SPECIALTY EXAMS THAT CERTIFY THE SKILLS OF INSTALLATION AND SERVICE TECHNICIANS WHO WORK ON RESIDENTIAL AND LIGHT COMMERCIAL EQUIPMENT AND SYSTEMS: AIR CONDITIONING, AIR DISTRIBUTION, GAS HEATING, HEAT PUMPS, OIL HEATING, GAS AND OIL HYDRONICS, AND COMMERCIAL AND LIGHT COMMERCIAL REFRIGERATION. TO BECOME CERTIFIED AS A NATE INSTALLATION AND/OR SERVICE TECHNICIAN, TECHNICIANS NEED TO PASS BOTH THE REQUIRED CORE AND SPECIALTY EXAMS.
