THE COUNCIL CONDUCTS RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC, ENVIRONMENTAL, FINANCIAL, POLITICAL, AND SOCIAL CONDITIONS IN THE TEN COUNTRIES OF THE ASSOCIATION OF SOUTHEAST ASIAN NATIONS (ASEAN). THE COUNCIL UTILIZES THE RESULTS OF ITS RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS TO INFORM MEMBERS BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS, TECHNICAL INFORMATION FOR PRODUCT INNOVATION, TRADE MISSIONS, AND CONVENING MULTIPLE MEETINGS WITH ASEAN HEADS OF STATE AND MINISTERS.
THE COUNCIL HAS SECTORAL INITIATIVES BENEFITTING MEMBERS AT BOTH THE LOCAL AND REGIONAL LEVEL FOR THE FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES: INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY, CUSTOMS, FOOD & AGRICULTURE, DEFENSE, ENERGY, FINANCIAL SERVICES, HEALTH & LIFE SCIENCES, INFRASTRUCTURE, MANUFACTURING, AND TRAVEL & TOURISM.
