CEC EMPOWERS PEOPLE BY OFFERING A MODEL OF INTEGRATED SERVICES (BUNDLED SERVICES) TO HELP INDIVIDUALS IMPROVE THEIR FINANCIAL STABILITY.

IN 2021 THE HOUSING PROGRAM FOR HOMELESS, FAMILY VIOLENCE AND LOW INCOME HOUSED 539 INDIVIDUALS. FAMILIES IN THE PROGRAM FOUND REFUGE AND HOPE THROUGH THE PROGRAM. 10,198 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED RECEIVED BUNDLED SERVICES OF FOOD FROM THE PANTRY, EMPLOYMENT AND FINANCIAL COACHING. THE CEC COLLABORATED WITH BIRDVILLE ISD, NORTHEAST TARRANT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND MORE THAN 30 CHURCHES TO FOCUS ON BACK-TO-SCHOOL, HOMELESS STUDENTS AND LITERACY FOR ELEMENTARY CHILDREN. 345 FAMILIES WITH OVER 850 CHILDREN ATTENDED A SPONSORED EVENT AIMING TO TIE COMMUNITY DONORS DIRECTLY TO FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS. EVERY CHILD RECEIVED APPROXIMATELY $50-$75 WORTH OF TOYS AND FAMILIES RECEIVED AROUND 19,320 LBS OF FOOD IN TOTAL. OVER 300 VOLUNTEERS CONTRIBUTED FOUR HOURS TO THIS EVENT. DURING THE YEAR, 2,732 VOLUNTEERS DONATED 20,893 HOURS OF SERVICE TO THEIR COMMUNITY THROUGH THE CEC PROGRAMS.
THE COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAM GAVE DIRECT AID AND DISTRIBUTED FOOD TO 9,986 PEOPLE THROUGH THE FOOD PANTRY WHICH EQUATED TO 1,061,916 MEALS THANKS TO HUNDREDS OF INDIVIDUALS DONATING TO FOOD DRIVES, COMPANIES WHO CARE, AND FOOD-SHARE PARTNERS. THE NATIONAL GUARD WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN HELPING THE CEC DISTRIBUTE FOOD TO FAMILIES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
THE EMPLOYMENT/EDUCATION COACHES PROVIDED COACHING SERVICES TO 212 FAMILIES THROUGH BUNDLED SERVICES WHICH INCLUDED FINANCIAL SUPPORT AND EDUCATION COACHING, EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE AND RESOURCE REFERRALS TO HELP FAMILIES BECOME MORE SELF-SUFFICIENT.
