(2) TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONALISM AND HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS TO INSTILL PUBLIC TRUST. (3) TO WORK WITH THE MANUFACTURING COMMUNITY TO ASSURE FAIR AND EQUITABLE TREATMENT OF WARRANTY CLAIMS FROM THE CONSUMING PUBLIC. ANNUAL CONVENTION AND TRADE SHOW:THE ANNUAL CONVENTION AND TRADE SHOW INCLUDES ASSOCIATION AND INDUSTRY BUSINESS MEETINGS, TRAINING SEMINARS, AND AN OPPORTUNITY TO VIEW AND INSPECT THE LATEST IN CONSUMER PRODUCTS, ACCESSORIES, AND SERVICE AIDS; MEMBERS MEET WITH HIGH LEVEL MANUFACTURER PERSONNEL TO DISCUSS UNIQUE PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED IN SERVICING PRODUCTS OR THE PROCUREMENT OF REPAIR PARTS AND SERVICE LITERATURE. DUE TO THE COVIDPANDIC A CONVENTION WAS NOT HELD IN 2021.
TRAINING, LICENSING, TESTING, AND CERTIFICATION OF ELECTRONICS SERVICE DEALERS:IN ADDITION TO THE TRAINING PROVIDED DURING THE ANNUAL CONVENTION, REGIONAL SEMINARS ARE ALSO SPONSORED PERIODICALLY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR; THE ASSOCIATION OFFERS CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS IN VARIOUS TECHNICAL FIELDS OF ELECTRONICS, APPLIANCE, AND MANAGEMENT SO THAT TECHNICIANS AND MANAGERS MAY DEMONSTRATE AND PUBLICIZE THEIR KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES AS A METHOD OF GAINING RECOGNITION FROM CONSUMERS AND THEIR EMPLOYER; THE ASSOCIATION MAKES AVAILABLE AND KEEPS CURRENT STUDY MATERIAL AND TESTING OPPORTUNITIES FOR THOSE WHO DESIRE TO REACH THIS LEVEL OF COMPETENCE; THE ASSOCIATION IS ALSO AUTHORIZED BY THE FCC TO ADMINISTER THE RADIO/TELEPHONE LICENSING EXAM.
