THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO STRATEGICALLY PLAN, ORGANIZE AND DIRECT COOPERATIVE OPPORTUNITIES AND PROGRAMS FOR ITS FIVE MEMBER PRIVATE HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES AND SERVE AS ADMINISTRATOR OF EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY PROGRAMS.

WITH APPROVAL OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, TADC IS ADMINISTRATOR OF THE URBAN SCHOLARSHIP FUND. THIS FUND IS MADE UP OF FUNDS FROM AT&T UTILITY FUNDS AND PROVIDE 2 YEAR PRIVATE, 4 YEAR PUBLIC AND TRADE/TECHNICAL SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT TO NEEDY STUDENTS WHO MEET ESTABLISHED ELIGIBILTY REQUIREMENTS. THIS INCLUDES APPLICANTS THAT MUST BE FULL TIME UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS AND HAVE GRADUATED FROM A HIGH SCHOOL IN ONE OF 43 TEXAS CITIES.


NSF GRANT IS A PLANNING GRANT TO COLLECT AND DOCUMENT THE CURRENT CYBERINFRASTRUCTURE CONFIGURATION, SCIENCE DRIVERS AND THE BROADER IMPACTS OF MODERNIZING THE IT SYSTEMS OF FIVE (5) HISTORICALLY BLACK COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. THE INFORMATION WILL BE USED TO WRITE A CC NETWORK DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION FOR SMALL INSTITUTIONS GRANTS TO BUILD A REGIONAL NETWORK.
