COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT - PRESENT A FREE FAMILY 4TH FIREWORKS SHOW SPONSORED BY CHAMBER MEMBER BUSINESSES FOR THE COMMUNITIES SERVED (30,000 ATTENDEES.)CHAMBER WEBSITE PUBLICIZES LOCAL SCHOOL AND CHARITABLE EVENTS.VITAL LINK IS AN EDUCATION/BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP WHERE 120 8TH GRADE STUDENTS ARE INVITED TO WORK IN 120 AREA BUSINESSES. THIS PROGRAM GIVES STUDENTS FIRST-HAND EXPERIENCE IN THE BUSINESS WORLD. SCHOLARSHIPS ARE GIVEN TO AREA STUDENTS.HOME TOWN HEROES BANQUET IS HELD EACH YEAR TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND SHOW APPRECIATION TO 30-40 COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS AND OUTSTANDING CITIZENS.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT - MONTHLY MEMBER LUNCHEONS, BI-MONTHLY BUSINESS BREAKFASTS, RIBBON-CUTTINGS, POWERNET SPEED LEADS, WEEKLY LEADS GROUPS AND MONTHLY AFTER-HOURS MIXERS ENCOURAGE BUSINESS NETWORKING AND CONNECTIONS IN THE COMMUNITY. LUNCHEONS AVERAGE 150 ATTENDEES. MEMBER DIRECTORIES, NEWSLETTERS, WEBSITE AND AREA BUSINESS MAPS ARE DISTRIBUTED TO ALL OF THE ALMOST 1,000 MEMBERS. INCLUDES NON EXEMPT INCOME FROM COMMUNICATIONS ADVERTISING.
MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - THE DIPLOMAT PROGRAM MEETS MONTHLY TO DISCUSS WAYS TO INCREASE CHAMBER MEMBERSHIP AMONG BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY. NEW MEMBER ORIENTATIONS ARE HELD EACH MONTH PRIOR TO THE LUNCHEON. ANNUAL MEMBER APPRECIATION DAY IS HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE DISTRIBUTION OF MEMBER DIRECTORIES AND THE YEAR IS CONCLUDED WITH THE ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET TO RECOGNIZE THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF MEMBERS, BUSINESSES AND VOLUNTEERS.
