OUR MISSION: THE ERIC R. BEVERLY FAMILY FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE SURVIVAL RATES OF LOWER INCOME BREAST CANCER INDIVIDUALS UNDERGOING TREATMENT FOR BREAST CANCER. WE DO THIS BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL GRANTS FOR INSURANCE CO-PAYS; PRESCRIPTION COSTS; TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM TREATMENT AND BASIC LIVING NECESSITIES SUCH AS RENT, UTILITIES AND GROCERIES. ALL OF OUR AWARDS AND GRANTS ARE MADE WITH THIS MISSION IN MIND. GRANTS IN ALGER COUNTY WERE MADE TO HELP THE LOWER INCOME CANCER PATIENTS PAY THEIR EXPENSES (UTILITIES, RENT, MEDICAL EXPENSES, AND OTHER BILLS) WHICH ARE KEEPING THEM FROM GOING TO TREATMENT; OUR ANGEL FUND WHICH FUNDS THE LOWER INCOME BREAST CANCER PATIENTS' GRANTS AT GRADY HOSPITAL (ALSO TO HELP WITH EXPENSES KEEPING THEM FROM GETTING TREATMENT); HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS WHICH IS OUR PROGRAM WHERE WE PROVIDE MEALS AND GIFTS TO THE LOWER INCOME BREAST CANCER PATIENTS, THEIR FAMILIES, AND CAREGIVERS FOR THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS; AND OUR COMFORT KITS WHICH WE PROVIDE TO THE SOCIAL WORKERS AT GRADY HOSPITAL TO GIVE TO NEWLY DIAGNOSED LOWER-INCOME BREAST CANCER PATIENTS TO HELP THEM GET THROUGH TREATMENTS.
