REACHING UP & REACHING OUT (RURO) IS A NON-PROFIT BASED IN MERCER COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA. OUR MISSION IS TO ESTABLISH RELATIONSHIPS WITH INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED, OR WHO ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING CRISIS IN THEIR LIVES, AND TO PROVIDE THEM WITH SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, AND EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AS THEY BEGIN THEIR NEW LIVES IN CHRIST AND SOCIETY. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, RURO HAS CONTRACTED DOZENS OF INMATES AND CREATED PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO ASSIST THEM AFTER THEIR RELEASE FROM JAIL BY PROVIDING TRANSPORTATION, COUNSELING, PERSONAL ITEMS AND OFFERING MEETING SPACE. RURO'S OBJECTIVE IS TO RETURN THESE PEOPLE TO SOCIETY WITH THE ABILITY TO POSITIVELY FUNCTION AS A CONTRIBUTING MEMBER OF THEIR COMMUNITY.
