PROVIDE LEADERSHIP AND EXPERTISE FOR THE RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION AND USE OF COMPOST IN VERMONT THROUGH ACTIVITIES THAT EDUCATE THE PUBLIC, BUILD COOPERATIVE RELATIONSHIPS, PROMOTE COMPOSTING AND ENCOURAGE THE USE OF COMPOST. HANDS-ON TEACHING WITH ACTUAL COMPOST THAT CAN BE USED BY TRAINEES. CURRENT PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS INCLUDE SOIL BUILDERS, ORGANICS DIVERSION FROM MIXED USE BUILDINGS AND ON-FARM COMMUNITY-BASED FOOD SCRAP & AGRICULTURAL WASTE MANAGEMENT.
