TO PROMOTE FAIR AND HONORABLE DEALINGS WITH THE OWNERS OF THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY INCLUDING ARCHITECTS, ENGINEERS, SPECIALTY AND SUBCONTRACTORS; SUPPLIERS OF MATERIALS AND SERVICES INCLUDING SURETY FIRMS, AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS. IN ADDITION, THE ASSOCIATION SEEKS TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC REGARDING THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY.

MEETINGS WITH MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC TO SHARE AND DISSEMINATE NEW CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND SAFETY STANDARDS. THE NUMBER OF BOARD MEETINGS HELD FOR 2021 WERE 5 AND THEY WERE HELD QUARTERLY.


APPRENTICESHIP IS A STRUCTURED SYSTEM OF TRAINING DESIGNED TO PREPARE INDIVIDUALS FOR OCCUPATIONS IN SKILLED TRADES AND CRAFTS. IT COMBINES ON-THE-JOB TRAINING UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF EXPERIENCED JOURNEY WORKERS WITH RELATED CLASSROOM INSTRUCTION. APPRENTICES WHO SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE THE PRESCRIBED NUMBER OF HOURS OF TRAINING IN AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM BECOME CERTIFIED SKILLED CRAFT WORKERS. ALL PROGRAMS MUST BE REGISTERED WITH THE BUREAU OF APPRENTICESHIP AND TRAINING OF THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR. THERE WERE 75 STUDENTS AND 15 COMPANIES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM IN 2021.
