WE ARE DEVOTED TO DISCERNING AND DEVELOPING THE GIFTS OF GOD AND HIS CHARACTER IN PEOPLE AND IN TEACHING THEM TO SERVE AND PRAY FOR OTHERS ESPECIALLY THE POOR AND NEEDY

Part 3 - Line 4a

AFTER SCHOOL BIBLE STUDY FOR INNER CITY YOUTH DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR 3 DAYS A WEEK FOR 1.5 HOURS EACH DAY. 20-30 ELEMENTARY AGE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE. LEARNING THE BIBLE DEVELOPING POSITIVE CHARACTER TRAITS, SOCIAL SKILLS AND COMMUNITY SERVICE ARE THE MAIN GOALS. A MEAL IS SERVED, PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, ART, SCIENCE AND MUSIC LESSONS ARE INCLUDED.


SPORTS DAY IS A ONCE A MONTH EVENT WHERE CHRISTIAN TEENS ORGANIZE INSTRUCTION AND SPORT ACTIVITIES FOR OUR YOUTH. A MEAL IS PREPARED BY THE PARENTS OF THE TEENS FOR EVERYONE. DRILLS AND SKILLS ARE TAUGHT TO OUR YOUTH WITH THE TEENS ACTING AS MENTORS AND INSTRUCTORS. THE TEENS ALSO PRESENT A BIBLE STUDY AND INSTRUCTION. IT IS A 3 HOUR PROGRAM WITH ABOUT 45 PARTICIPANTS.


IN THE SUMMER WE HAVE 3 DAY BIBLE CAMPS EACH WEEK WITH CHRISTIAN COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WORKING AS INTERNS AND MENTORS FOR OUR YOUTH. 3-6 TEENS AND 20-30 KIDS PARTICIPATE EACH WEEK. THE YOUNG ADULTS UNDER SUPERVISION PREPARE AND PRESENT LESSONS, MEALS AND ACTIVITIES
