THE FOUNDATION, THROUGH ITS FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS, HAS RAISED FUNDS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS AND CAPITAL NEEDS OF ITS RELATED CORPORATION, VAIL HEALTH HOSPITAL, A 501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION. THIS HOSPITAL PROVIDES COMMUNITY BENEFIT TO THE VAIL VALLEY AND SURROUNDING AREAS. FOR THE OPERATING YEAR ENDED OCTOBER 31, 2020 THE FOUNDATION CONTRIBUTED $493K TOWARDS HOSPITAL CAPITAL EQUIPMENT AND $1.4 MILLION TOWARD HOSPITAL HEALTH CARE PROGRAMS.
THE FOUNDATION WORKS WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS THAT SHARE A SIMILAR MISSION OF SUPPORTING OVERALL HEALTH CARE IN EAGLE COUNTY AND THE SURROUNDING REGION. THIS INCLUDES THE FOUNDATION ACTING IN THE CAPACITY OF A FISCAL AGENT TO FACILITATE FUNDRAISING EFFORTS FOR CERTAIN ORGANIZATIONS THAT LACK INTERNAL STAFFING AND SYSTEMS TO RECEIVE AND PROCESS DONATIONS AND EVENT PROCEEDS. THESE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDE STEADMAN PHILIPPON RESEARCH INSTITUTE WHERE THE FOUNDATION MANAGES AN ENDOWMENT OWNED AND DIRECTED TO SPRI, AND THE SHAW OUTREACH TEAM WHERE THE FOUNDATION ASSISTS IN FACILITATING A FUND RAISING EVENT. FUNDS RECEIVED ON BEHALF OF THESE PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS ARE PASSED TO THE PARTNER ORGANIZATION AND ARE NOT RECOGNIZED AS FOUNDATION REVENUE ON THE FOUNDATION'S AUDITED FINANCIALS.
