DARK SKY SITES ARE MAINTAINED FOR PUBLIC USE. STAR PARTIES ARE HELD TO EDUCATE INDIVIDUALS ABOUT ASTRONOMY AND NATURAL RESOURCE PRESERVATION. OTHER OUTREACH ACTIVITIES INCLUDE SCHOOL STAR PARTIES AND OTHERS.
PUBLICATION OF DESERT SKIES NEWSLETTER, BULLETINS, AND MAINTENANCE OF WEBSITE PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SCIENCE INFORMATION TO THE PUBLIC.
VARIOUS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE PARTICIPATION IN EDUCATIONAL SCIENCE FAIRS AND PUBLIC EVENTS. FREE MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD AT THE UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA CAMPUS.
