THE MISSION OF THE BRECKENRIDGE MUSIC FESTIVAL IS TO PRESENT DIVERSE AND HIGH-QUALITY LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCES AND BROAD BASED COMMUNITY MUSIC EDUCATION THROUGHOUT SUMMIT COUNTY COLORADO.

THE CONCERT SERIES PRODUCES DIVERSE PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING A CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA IN THE SUMMER, POPULAR MUSIC SERIES KNOWN AS BRECK MUSIC PRESENTS DURING THE SUMMER AND WINTER, IN HOME CHAMBER CONCERTS, AND A FREE FAMILY CONCERT.
THE YEAR-ROUND MUSIC IN THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM, KID FEST, FREE FAMILY CONCERT, OPEN REHEARSALS AND OTHER COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES AIM TO SHARE MUSIC WITH THE BROADEST CROSS-SECTION OF THE COMMUNITY. IN-SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES AND WORKSHOPS REACH STUDENTS AT SCHOOLS IN LAKE, PARK AND SUMMIT COUNTY. THE PROGRAM USED HIRED ARTISTS AS WELL AS MUSICIANS PERFORMING IN THE WINTER SERIES. FUNDING CONSISTS OF GRANTS RECEIVED.
