ORGAN TRANSPLANTATION: THIS INCLUDES THE DELIVERY OF INFORMATION, EDUCATION, RECOVERY, PRESERVATION, AND MOVEMENT OF ORGANS TO OTHER PROCUREMENT AGENCIES AND TRANSPLANT CENTERS. DURING 2021: 260 DONORS WERE RECOVERED WITHIN OUR SERVICE AREA WITH A TOTAL OF 881 LOCAL ORGANS AND 349 IMPORTED ORGANS INTO OUR SERVICE AREA. THIS IS A TOTAL OF 1220 ORGANS FOR TRANSPLANTS WHICH BENEFITED PATIENTS ON A NATIONAL ORGAN WAITING LIST IN 2021. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO SAVE 1,077 HUMAN LIVES THROUGH THE POWER OF ORGAN DONATION PROGRAM. OTHER TISSUES WERE RECOVERED FOR TRANSPLANT AND RESEARCH.
