THE ROTARY CLUB OF PORT ARTHUR HOST AN ANNUAL TASTE OF GUMBO TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. THE ORGANZIATIONS THAT BENEFITED FROM THIS PROJECT ARE CAPLAND SPEECH THERAPY CENTER, COMMUNITY CARE PRAYER OUTREACH, CATHOLIC CHARITIES, MUSTARD SEED MINISTRIES, SEAFARER CENTER, UNITED BOARD OF MISSIONS AND YMCA STRONG KIDS.
SCHOLARSHIPS TO LAMAR STATE COLLEGE - PA, PORT ARTHUR HIGHER EDUCATION FOUNDATION, YMCA, UBM, COMMUNITY CARE OUTREACH, SALVATION ARMY, HOPITALITY CENTER AND OTHERS.
THE CLUB USES DUES AND OTHER FUNDS TO SUPPORT THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS, CAVOILCADE, COMMUNITY CARE PRAYER OUTREACH, PORT ARTHUR INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT DICTIONARY PROJECT, PORT ARTHUR HIGHER EDUCATION FUND, ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AND OTHER LOCAL PROJECTS.
