NESRI WORKS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH U.S. COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATIONS TO INCREASE THEIR CAPACITY TO BUILD A HUMAN RIGHTS MOVEMENT. NESRI FOCUSES ON ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING EDUCATION, HEALTH, HOUSING AND WORK WITH DIGNITY.

PARTNERS FOR DIGNITY & RIGHTS (P4DR, LEGAL NAME NATIONAL ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RIGHTS INITIATIVE) SUPPORTS COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN THEIR CAMPAIGNS FOR ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING EDUCATION, HOUSING, AND WORK WITH DIGNITY, AND ADVANCES A LARGER VISION OF PUBLIC GOODS, EQUITY, AND DEMOCRACY FOR ALL. THIS YEAR, OUR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TEAM TOOK SUBSTANTIAL STEPS TOWARDS CULTIVATING COMMUNITIES OF PRACTICE THAT DEEPEN DEMOCRACY FOR WORKER-LED AND MULTI-ISSUE ORGANIZATIONS. THROUGH OUR NEW SOCIAL CONTRACT PROJECT, WE PUBLISHED THE REPORT, WRITTEN WITH RACE FORWARD, CO-GOVERNING TOWARD MULTIRACIAL DEMOCRACY, HIGHLIGHTING COLLABORATIVE GOVERNANCE MODELS FROM COMMUNITIES OF COLOR ACROSS THE COUNTRY. WE PRESENTED A PANEL AT THE FACING RACE CONFERENCE, ORGANIZED MULTIPLE EVENTS AND PUBLISHED ARTICLES TO PROMOTE THE REPORT, AND PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR DEEPER EXPLORATION OF ITS THEMES AND IDEAS.
