ASSISTANCE, ADVOCACY AND PROTECTION FOR VICTIMS INCLUDES: THE 24 HOUR CRISIS HOT LINE RECEIVED AND PROVIDED CRISIS INTERVENTION ASSISTANCE FOR CRISIS CALLS, AS WELL AS CRISIS CALL REFERRALS. STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS SPENT THOUSANDS OF HOURS ON THE CRISIS HOT LINE SERVICE. ADVOCACY INCLUDES ASSESSING IMMEDIATE NEEDS, SAFETY PLANNING, COURT, HOSPITAL OR LEGAL SERVICES OR REFERRALS, SUPPORT GROUP SESSIONS AND EDUCATION. DURING THE YEAR, SAFE CENTER, INC. PROVIDED EMERGENCY SHELTER TO VICTIMS, CONSISTING OF WOMEN, MEN, AND CHILDREN. THE AGENCY PROVIDED FACE TO FACE ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS WITH CRISIS PLANNING, INDIVIDUALS WITH CRISIS INTERVENTION, INDIVIDUALS WITH ADVOCACY SERVICES, INDIVIDUALS WITH COURT ADVOCACY SERVICES, INDIVIDUALS WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT EXAMS, AS WELL AS PROVIDED GROUP SUPPORT SESSIONS.
