THE MISSION OF SAFEHAVEN OF TARRANT COUNTY IS TO END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE THROUGH SAFETY, SUPPORT, PREVENTION AND SOCIAL CHANGE.

Part 3 - Line 4a

SHELTER AND TRANSITIONAL LIVING - RESIDENTIAL PROGRAMS PROVIDE VICTIMS FLEEING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE WITH CASE MANAGEMENT, COUNSELING, LIFE SKILLS TRAINING AND SPECIALIZED CLIENT ASSISTANCE IN ADDITION TO EMERGENCY SHELTER AND LONGER TERM HOUSING. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATES TWO EMERGENCY SHELTERS, ONE IN FORT WORTH AND ANOTHER IN ARLINGTON. TRANSITIONAL AND PERMANENT LIVING PROVIDES SUPPORTIVE HOUSING SERVICES, INCLUDING RENTAL ASSISTANCE, AT SCATTERED SITES. 1,667 SERVED DURING FYE 2023.


CRISIS AND OUTREACH, VICTIMS ASSISTANCE AND LEGAL SERVICES - A 24-HOUR HOTLINE PROVIDES IMMEDIATE CRISIS INTERVENTION, SAFETY PLANNING AND PROGRAM REFERRALS FOR VICTIMS. HOTLINE STAFF ALSO COORDINATES WITH AND TRAINS POLICE DEPARTMENTS, MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AND OTHER VICTIM SERVICE PROVIDERS. ATTORNEYS AND LEGAL ADVOCATES WHO ARE EMPLOYEES OF THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDE PRO BONO CIVIL LEGAL REPRESENTATION, ADVOCACY, PAPERWORK PREPARATION AND OTHER LEGAL ASSISTANCE. 150 PROVIDED WITH LEGAL REPRESENTATION DURING FYE 2023. 8,480 EMERGENCY HOTLINE CALLS/CRISIS INTERVENTION.


CLINICAL INTERVENTION - NON-RESIDENTIAL, OUTREACH SERVICES PROVIDED AT TWO RESOURCE CENTERS IN FORT WORTH AND ARLINGTON. MASTERS-LEVEL COUNSELORS PROVIDE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP SESSIONS FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO FACILITATES THE REHABILITATION OF BATTERERS THROUGH AN EVIDENCE-BASED CURRICULUM THAT REDUCES ABUSE RECIDIVISM. THE STATE ACCREDITED BATTERER'S INTERVENTION AND PREVENTION PROGRAM IS THE ONLY SERVICE FOR WHICH THE ORGANIZATION CHARGES PARTICIPANTS A FEE.IN ALL CLINICAL INTERVENTION SERVICES 305 SERVED DURING FYE 2023.
