MOBILE MEALS IS A NON-GOVERNMENTAL, NON-PROFITABLE ORGANIZATION THAT DELIVERS FOOD TO THE ELDERLY OR HOMEBOUND PERSONS LIVING IN STILLWATER.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
MOBILE MEALS PROVIDES MEALS TO THE CONVALESCING, ELDERLY, AND HOMEBOUND PERSONS IN THE STILLWATER, OK COMMUNITY TO ALLOW THE INDIVIDUALS TO MAINTAIN THEIR INDEPENDENCE AND CONTINUE TO LIVE IN THEIR HOMES FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. MOBILE MEALS PROVIDED 24,046 MEALS TO 213 DIFFERENT CLIENTS. 13,347 OF THESE MEALS WERE SUBSIDIZED DUE TO THE CLIENTS LACK OF INCOME TO PAY. 260 INDIVIDUAL VOLUNTEERS WORKED A TOTAL OF 5,269 COMMUNITY SERVICE HOURS. MOBILE MEALS ALSO DELIVERED FREE PET FOOD (DONATED BY STILLWATER MILLING COMPANY) TO CLIENTS ONCE A MONTH AND DELIVERED LIBRARY BOOKS AND OTHER MEDIA (PROVIDED BY STILLWATER PUBLIC LIBRARY) TO CLIENTS AS NEEDED.
