ADVOCATES FOR SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION, INC HAS BECOME A CHARTER SCHOOL THAT WORKS WITHIN THE STATE OF LOUISIANA SYSTEM AND THE NEW ORLEANS PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM. THE SCHOOL PROVIDES A RIGOROUS HIGH SCHOOL CURRICULUM WITH AN EMPHASIS IN SCIENCE AND MATHEMATICS IN A SUPPORTING ENVIRONMENT OF LEARNING THAT PREPARES SUDENTS TO MAKE INFORMED CHOICES ABOUT POST-SECONDARY PURSUITS. 540 STUDENTS WERE SERVED DURING THIS FISCAL YEAR.
